HPP and environmental problems and corruption in the environment

Cluster Center JOURNALISTS Ekolevizja and Justice Association held the workshop "HPP and environmental problems" within the project: "Corruption in the environment that comes from ignorance and failure of environmental laws", funded by USAID, Just program. Present at the event were non-governmental organizations, community residents, forest specialists, students etc. In workshops addressed topics on HPP and environmental problems they cause, by specialists in this field as well. : 1-Jamal Mato (Leader of Ekolëvizja) which addressed the right to information and corruption in the environment that is due to the non-recognition and non-enforcement of environmental laws. 2-Gavroche Zela (Expert mjedisor.Ing.Mjedisi) explained best environmental concern HPPs Librazhdi. 3-Molinar Kolaneci (Ing.Ujrash) highlighted the impact of HPP in Gurshpatë 1 & 2 and Rrapun (shines) surface waters. Environmental issues have a direct impact on community life. The community has a legitimate right to clean air and water. The community has the right to be informed and to be participants in decision making concerning environmental issues in accordance with the Rio Declaration. The Rio Declaration states that: The right to develop to be fulfilled in such a way as to satisfy the right way of developing environmental needs of present and future generations. In order to avoid corruption on the environment in terms of occupation of the premises of HPP we should be informed. Further Jamal said Mato: Information may derive from different sources of information and research that can perform. In the information may require environmental agreements, development policies, legislation, plans and programs that affect or may affect the elements of the environment and cost-përfitimet.Nga referees O said: Today we are facing a very worrying environmental issues as technical projects are prepared based solely on the economic benefits.
